Mechanic changed my ride height!

So roughly a year and a half ago I took my car into my neighbors shop because I was using low profile tires on a stock sport suspension. I own an e90 328i with ZSP. I had to get some slightly higher tires because my front bumper would scrape on my drive way no matter how slowly or how much I angled my car.

I bought my car used. While at the shop my mechanic said he put new tires and raised my car to "factory settings". Apparently my car was lowered? (I don't think it was) I think he raised the height to the nonsport height. What could he have added to make it slightly taller? because I swear there's more body roll and the rear looks taller...

Is there a simple way for me to check the ride height? and does anyone know the stock 07 e90s suspension height (non zsp) compared to sport package?

sounds dicey, definitely find out what he did to raise the height.

Stock suspension height is not adjustable. I have no idea what he did.

I think you were running low profile 30 then he threw on some 40 that can make a big difference because there is no way you can raise your car on stock suspension

yeah, sounds like he put the right tires on it

either that or swapped non-sport springs on, but I doubt that

Stock ride height could be raised, anywhere from 5mm to 20mm, retaining stock springs and stock struts and shocks. Read some off my previous posts.

I think your mechanic is likely a bozo and has no idea what he's talking about. I doubt a non-enthusiast would know the difference between sport, non-sport, factory tire size difference between the two, stock suspension heights, etc.; whether they are a "mechanic" or not. Chances are he put new tires on and nothing else.

My coworker has a bone stock e90 328i with ZSP, just like yours, and he scrapes a lot too. ZSP cars sit pretty low straight from the factory, plain and simple.

Anyway, try taking a picture of your car and sharing. That and let us know what size tires you have on there now and what size tires you had on previously, as that information is obviously pertinent to your question.
