Shocksss

I'm running H&R race springs on my 09 328 Xi. I just hit 72k and it's time I get some new shocks I'm still running stocks. Any recommendations on shock brands. Thanks

How long have you had the springs on the stock shocks?

Well my rear shocks just started to leak. But I like how the drop looks with the oem shocks. And the ride is good.

thanks for replying. So H&R springs with some good strong shocks will probably be ideal huh?

I'd say go with some coilovers either fortune auto/broadway suspension or some kw street comfort or v1s. if you want to just go with shocks koni or bilstein both great choices. if you want cheap stock setup go with sachs or bosch those are the oem manufacturers for out shocks

The ride with h and r with stock shocks is horrible. It is pretty harsh with sport and I can imagine it's only worse with race. The geometry of the whole suspension is thrown off since the strut is traveling less than it was designed to travel. They also prematurely wear the shocks which is why they blew 700 miles after install. Get some koni yellow's, but a fair warning you will be pretty low. I believe Koni also has adjustable struts as well, but at the price point you might as well have went with coilovers.

Yeah Id say go with coilovers if you're willing to spend and want a great setup contact fortune auti/Broadway same company fortune specializes in performance oriented setups the other in stance oriented. A notch down is kw I got mine from vrsf a vendor here. I think the cheapest decent set is bc coils. Good luck do some searching on the forums you'll find tons of info about each option

Yeah, these are the ones you want with aftermarket springs. There is another option, which is bilstein, they are monotube and are not adjustable, but people still prefer them. They will be a harsher ride, reading from the reviews.
