Someone pulled one off a used car for $200. I totally agree that it doesn't makes sense for $1,100.

Thanks for the info you shared, it was helpful in my decision making process. As far as "timing corrections", how can I tell I'm getting corrections and what the corrections are? I look at the timing in the JB4 logs and see the numbers are long and sometimes 0 but if I don't understand what that means it doesn't help.

Thanks again.

So the JB4 doesn't log timing corrections so it isn't as simple as it is with MHD. the JB4 also doesn't read timing below 0. You really need to know what the timing targets are on your flash side to know if you're on target or lower. The timing tables are load vs rpm so if load is low then timing will be high. Using the JB4 pump BEF for example at full load the timing targets are around 5 degrees at low RPM and about 8 degrees at high rpm. Don't quote the exact numbers as I am just going from what I recall. If you see any of your cylinders not displaying between those figures then the DME pulled timing. Typical acceptable timing drops are random 3 degree corrections. Anything larger than 3 or a bunch of cylinders at the same time and you should either increase octane or reduce boost or reduce timing (in the flash).

For some reason I cannot attach photos right now to show examples. You will see one cylinder somewhat quickly drop by a certain number. That is most of the time a timing correction.

I have not installed the PS2 on my X1 which should have the same HPFP as you so I don't know at what point it will struggle without any ethanol blends.
Slightly off topic, but what is the reason behind the PS2 creating less corrections at 16 psi vs 12 psi on the stock turbo? Isn't boost pressure the same regardless? Does this have to do with the way the PS2 delivers boost or do you think it just comes down to custom car-specific tuning for a PS2 setup?
