call BMW NA, talk to someone, ask if they can reflash you to stock? its been done before (I think someone left their v2 in and went to the dealer) you should really argue the dead warranty situation but if that fails... insurance is always an option... not gonna say anything more but you get the idea |

Ok, but what if the new owner pushes the car? Isn't that why we buy BMWs?

who cares about the new owner ; )
hell probably be on this website in a month or two complaining about how his trans is bumping haha good thing its a lease... itd be hard to sell a car with low mileage and tell the prospective buyers that "the warranty is voided because of the aftermarket tuning ive done to the car"... thatll sell it real quick when did your lease start & for how long? |

wait, second transmission? who installed the first one? if it was at a dealership, then there is a 2 year unlimited warranty on the trans...... i would put my hat in my hand and go talk to the service manager about getting the issue looked at again, to reconfirm if it is the transmission again, and then promise (AND DO IT) to not mod the car again. once its flagged, its flagged. nothings going to change that.
perhaps the Field service engineer could help if you really were nice. ********** remember********** you will attract more flys with sugar, than shit. so dont be an asshole or be a jerk/snippy/whatever or your not going to get ANYTHING for free. how did the transmission shop that you said "programmed" the car do it with? Progman? autologic? not many other tools will program that transmission. you still havent answered that question for me. and if they are that smart to say that programming was the problem and it wasnt, why arnt you back there saying WTF, i thought you guys were the shizzle with transmissions? no trans fail safe lights? its not going into failsafe (3rd gear), and you have to restart it to make it shift normal again? it might not be the transmission, it may be the request from the engine for a high load shift due to your programming (if its still in there) BTW your absolutely retarded for modding a lease car. but hey thats my opinion. |

What was the point of trying to help me then calling me retarded... BMW did the first trans on my car. Then when this one was going, they said i had mods, and the
Field rep said fuck you. so i as far as this BMW is concerned i don’t have a warranty on my trans or power train. The programming shop didn’t know For Sure it was programming, they said they have no clue, but it feels like programming. They told me it might not fix it. but i did it because i didn’t have too many other options. I don’t know what programmer they used. ill have to find out next week when i have some time off. I only did it to this car because the BMW in Texas said i could...and i also planned on keeping the car. Pluss I had one mod why the hell would my trans go out 2 times. I only had 345 HP. |

No codes, Nothing. When the first trans went it was Completely gone, only had a gear or 2 and No reverse. But this one still works fine....it just will slam into gear into 5th under hard acceleration. And once in gear, it hold fine no slipping. and if you don’t push it hard you would never know anything was wrong.

cause i think your blowing this out of perportion. you screwed up and modified something you cant afford. thats tough. i can call you retarded for that, cant i? dont get butthurt plz. so FSE said no on covering it right? then your screwed, plain and simple. dont even try to fight it, its not happening. so go in there, put your big boy pants on, and pay the 1 hour diagnosis of whats wrong with the car. your spinning your wheels guessing when you have no clue whats wrong with the car, and then compounding it with (it seems) idiots from independant transmission shops that dont know wtf is going on with that car in the beginning. I know your right man. But they already hate me....lol I’m just felling that they are just going to keep saying new Trans just because. You know, like after all this time 4 month later. "Oh turns out you don’t need a NEW Trans, its just this" you know? so that’s why i was trying different stuff, cuz they already said New trans. so i was getting diff opinions.

Find a written off 335i and buy the tranny maybe. Then get a reputible shop to install it and get it programmed at the dealer. Dont waste yer time trying to guess.
