All Four Windows down half way

The other day I went to a meeting and when I got back, all four windows were down half way.

Why would this happen?

You probably have the window down function via key fob. Usually happens when you accidentally press the window down button when sitting down, happened to me if I have my wallet and keys in the same pocket. If you already did not know holding the lock button on your key fob will bring all your windows down.

What Sherj said. It's called Covenient Opening. If you have a sunroof, it will also open too (from memory, a bit after the windows).
Convenient Closing (hold Lock button) is the reverse.

yeh mine is the same, drivers window opens.

If you have a vert it even opens up the roof and then winds back up all the windows after the roof is wide open.

You can't close the roof or windows by holding down the lock button which is a bitch though...

Thank you, didn't know that. The sunroof didn't open, but the four windows did.

I have noticed on the E92 if you press the unlock button twice both the windows slide down to halfway position, to make access easier into the cabin into tight spots

Yeah np, usually all 4 windows go down before the sunroof opens. So you most likely had the button press in your pocket long enough to open the 4 windows and not the sun roof, or you went out of range.
