9.5 rears on a 07 E92, what tire size?
What is the largest rubber I can wrap around a 9.5" rear wheel? Rims are 18" . Or if not widest, than whats the best size?
TIA. |

265/35 or 255/35 would probably be ideal as long as you're not lowered enough to make clearance an issue.

I wouldn't go any smaller of 265 on 9.5, you want the rim lip to be covered nicely, I hate it when the rim is wider than the tire. Looks horrible.

I have the PSS on my stock rims. I like it so much that I bought it again for APEX ARC-8s. Plenty of thread life, not very noisy and sticks to the road like glue. I also used Hankook V12s, although it is a decent tire for the money, there is no comparison with the PSS.

Well if I stick with my 189's the rear is only 8.5" wide so I doubt I can wrap them in265's. Have to stick with the 255's I guess. But sounds like the Mich PSS is the tire to use.

I have 255/35ZR18 PSS on 18x9.5" (ET35 offset) rims. The tires fit the rims fine. I could have gone wider, but it would throw my speedo off.
Here are a few pics (the fronts are 225/40ZR18 on 8.5" rims). Cheers! |

Sorry, but isn't 265/30 the ideal size for the rear? I thought in most situations we wanted a 35 profile in the front and 30 in the rear.

I'm running a 275/35/18 on the 9.5" arc8, lowered with -1.9 degrees of rear camber and I have plenty of clearance. Am going to run 285/35/18 next

I doubt the slight difference in diameter between the 255 and 265 would effect the speedo that much! Nice wheels BTW.
