FS: Sprint Booster for Automatic

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
This is the Automatic transmission version of this device. Model #BDD401A

I bought it new from the ebay seller, PartsExporterStore, who sells these for many vehicles. I used it for a few months and liked it very much. My wife didn't care for it. She thinks it makes the throttle too sensitive. I disagreed with her, but I removed it anyway. There is no packaging with this item. The tag listing the model number on the cable became a little scuffed during installation, otherwise it looks brand new. $220 shipped to US address.

Auction listing

Due to lack of interest in this device, I've put it up on ebay, starting at $50. Search for - Sprint Booster BDD401A

It's an electronic device that goes on your throttle. You remove the pedal assembly, install the SB, then replace the pedal. It remaps the throttle response, making it livelier and some say it also reduces or eliminates throttle lag. The results are not subtle. You will definitely notice the difference. A lot of people who have it, think it's fantastic. Others think it is BS and also overpriced for what it does. In theory, it doesn't sound like much. In actual use, it's pretty nice. Either way, it is rather expensive for what it does. (Not this one, though.) There are tons of threads discussing this controversial device.

this is basically what happens when you turn off DSC, you have instant throttle response due to no drive by wire.
