Those are the brightest AE's I've ever seen. I was debating the set from Bimmian or the racing dash type ones from the that you posted in (in the FS section).
Looking good! |

picture is a bit deceiving because of exposure....but if you are comparing RD vs Weisslict, get the Weisslict

If $ was equal then yeah for sure, but Weisslicht is in another price category. Regardless, car is looking good! I'm scared cause once I start.......

My Wife got the same lens for Christmas... All the reading I've done has given it very good reviews. Seems like it is a favorite among the masses. Pics look great... keep it up.

I didn't get the 1.4 but have the EF 50mm f/1.8 II Lens ... there's quite a significant price diff between the two.. I'm sure the 1.4 is a lot better but even the 1.8 greatly improves the quality over the kit lens.

The. 1.8 is awseome, I got it the same time I bought my camera. Only real downside is build quality. The 1.4 seems to be a bit better in every aspect, and is worth considering upgrading to.

Unfortunately, both are a little tight on a 1.6 crop body, so I almost always use a 17-55/2.8is zoom instead. However, for the occasional tight portrait type of shot, they are hard to beat in the $500 price range. Enjoy!

Now I'm using full-frame, 5dMK2 mounted on a 35L F1.4 I find that the 85L is too close if your using a crop-body, but amazing for portraits on FF. |

I actually have the 17-55 on my crop, but was looking for something for the 5dmkII as well. I heard the 85 1.8 is very good. I just have to wait for the next visa cycle and BHPhoto has cheap shipping to Canada now and that it's $200 cheaper then Vistek

24-70 is great if your looking for something which your 17-55 had on your crop. 851.8 is good but I prefer L lenses |

I agree with you about the L lens, but I can't afford the 1.2 right now. I just bought the 24-70, but wanted a nice Prime portrait lens, the 1.8 will have to do for now. I head it focuses a lot faster then the 1.2 in low light so that's make it a little easier of a decision as well.
