It's been a very busy few days. Drove down from Ohio on Wednesday & Thursday covering more than a 1000miles.And been apartment hunting for most part of the weekend. Finally decided on a place in Westchase.

Did make a few observations that felt new to a northerner like me. Speed limit is 70 (65 up there) but everyone seems to be doing 85 or more, is that normal down here? Then saw that 90% of vehicles have dark tints.

Lol, HIDs, 22 inche wheels, tints, weird paint jobs. Douchey bmw drivers (some not all) 85-90 is the average speed.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the 22 inch wheels on pretty much everything. Even saw a 6 series with 22s!

Will try my best to make it, BTW I need a good place to get a tint done, a place that uses a good window film with warranty.

welcome to Tampa, you'll like it hear, it's a fairly large city. I would put it at 3rd Largest city in Florida and growing fast for the last 10 years.

Westchase area is a great area to live in, it's very clean and well kept. You have access to 3 great malls:

-Citrus Park Mall
-International Plaza
-Westshore Mall

Stay away from University Mall. That place is a dump, dirty and ghetto. The mall can't decide whether it's open for business or going out of business. That or maybe the stores just didn't get the memo.

Ybor City is nice, depending on what you like. During the day it's a pretty safe place, at night, not so much, they are adjacent to the projects and on Saturday nights it's packed because of clubs. But most of those clubs are 18+ which means there is a lot of teens and jailbait out there. Walking around in the backstreets there is very little lighting, don't recommend walking back there alone. lol I've heard stories, people getting robbed and raped. Can't say I've seen it first hand though.

Channelside is nice as well, I think a lot safer at night.

Hyde park: a lot of people seem to like it down there, I've never really hung out there so idk first hand..

There are illegal street races out by Gandy, I haven't been in like 6 years when i was a teen, but they are still out there I think Saturday nights or Sunday nights.

Closest 1/4 mile track that I know is in Bradenton. Called Bradenton Motorpsorts Park. They have test and tunes days, and they have night races 8pm-1am, large range of cars and bikes. I believe they have an event on the 31st http://www.bradentonmotorsports.com/ it's always fun when they have the night races because it's regular street cars going head to head. Fun to watch but I don't recall seeing many bmw's out there.
