Mantis in Salt Lake City, UT!

So there's a fat fat chance I'm going to be on a project in Salt Lake City for 6 months. I will not be there for the entire 6 months, but will be there for few weeks every once in a while.

Date is not sure yet, but my first visit will be in a couple of weeks.

I know no one there, and i have no Fing clue what to do there.

anyone willing to meet up?
any recommendations on food places, things to eat (after work hours, no weekends), clubs, bars, etc?

Dood... if you are working there at a client site, you should be flying out Monday mornings and flying home Thursday afternoons.

Make sure you sign up for Delta miles. I'm assuming you'll be flying Delta because of the big presence there.

Pick a nice decent priced hotel for the miles. If you want to be more comfortable, check to see if they will put you up in corporate housing like Oakwoods... That way, you can leave all your crap there over the weekend and not have to lug it back with you.

sometimes i like to stay till later and leave on saturday or sunday just so i enjoy the city im in. if i like it that is.

but then monday-thursday that's a lot of nights man.

you will get plenty of opportunities to do that, but not week after week. Also check to see if you can substitute your flight and fly people out there. That way, you can have a weekly drawing and see what lucky SoCaler gets to go visit you.

But serious... you should check to see what the travel guidelines are. Check to see if you will be getting per diem or if it's just straight receipt reimbursement. Try to get per diem... it will be better in the long run and you will probably pocket some cash.
