Question Please help diagnose my brake issue

When I come to a stop it feels like the car lurches forward at the very moment the car comes to a stop. I really don't know how else to explain this. It doesn't matter if I come to a nice slow/controlled or abrupt stop. I will still feel the car lurch.

It's as is the brake pad suddenly disengages from the rotor at the last second making the car lurch.

I hope this made sense

I appreciate any feedback!

Thanks for the space,

Tony

I dimly recall reading of this problem on Steptronic models -apprarently due to a transmission and/or software issue. Does the lurching still occur if you shift into neutral prior to stopping?

Crap. No it doesn't. I tried your recommendation and when I put it into neutral as I coast to a stop the lurch goes away. Is my tranny going bad?
