CEL light after DP Install

What's up. Recently installed VSRF downpipe with the intentions ordering JB4 to remove the light. However, I've found out that JB4 does not allow you to remove that light with the new firmware update.

Will MHD clear the CEL?

Thanks!

Yes mhd can clear it. I believe if you change a few values in winkpf you can clear it out for the jb4 as well. Very easy to do with MHD you just check/uncheck the box for it before flashing

Did you order the CEL delete from VRSF as well?

No, I haven't ordered the fix. My worries are mainly if I will be able to pass inspection in NY.

JB4/MHD will suppress the CEL light coming up. Keep in mind this is not a 'fix', the code will still be there. You will not pass emissions since the monitor will be in an incomplete state.

To pass you will need some sort of DP fix...there's a few options out there.

Didn't BMS remove JB4's ability to autoclear codes and the CEL?

MHD nor JB4 will allow you to pass catless, only going back to stock or having a DP Fix.

However, if your state inspects visually or actually sniffer it still might not pass.

Thatís not something you want to use every day. It alters fuel trims levels.

You only use that before emissions.

Correct, I've read similar posts suggesting to do the same. Thanks!
