idea for RFT tires......

I have an idea for BMW. we all hate the RFTs. i never realized how much i hate them until last night when a friend took me for a ride in his new S4, w/ 19s wrapped in P-zeros. when i was at the car show this year a gentleman from BMW was telling me that the M3 does not have RFTs but has a kit in the trunk that has the proper sealants and compressor that can fix a flat.

what if BMW was to how an optional package, where we the consumer could decide if we would rather have the RFTs or standard tire with a similar set up as the M3?

the reason im pitching this way is because the amount of average BMW drivers outnumber the enthusiasts. and because the average BMW driver isn't an enthusiast like us, im sure they could care less about grip/performance, and would have the piece of mind that they wont have to worry about a flat.

On the other hand we won't need to upgrade our tires, and we get to enjoy a BMW the way its supposed to be.

any ideas of how we can try to get BMW to implement this?

I doubt it will happen, but what you can do is purchase new tires and buy this:

BMW Mobility Kit # 71100413439

The suspension was designed with the use of RFT in mind, so they won't do this.

I just wish BMW would give us a space for a full-sized spare under the trunk floor, like I used to have in my e46. The I could go out and buy a spare wheel and tire from tirerack myself.

That may be the case but the car is better in every way without the RFTs.

I also have an idea for RFTs.

Because with the Conti Comfort Kit it is much easier to inject the sealant into the tire.
