I dont have 90 degree...the part that leaks is the piece where it screws on but not from the thread...from where the fitting is on the line.
No prob...Im getting a new line. |

Got my filter delivered yesterday and finally had some down time to install it tonight... It was not fun taking off the 1/8 to 4 AN fitting from the nitrous solenoid, especially since it was fitted with teflon paste/loctite on it over 2 years ago when I installed it which made it nearly impossible to loosen.. I stripped the bolt nut while trying to unscrew it with the 1/2 open end wrench, and had to use plyers to finish unscrewing it out! The fitting is no longer usable, totally butchered, but then again looking at it I would never install it again because of how cheesy the filter is. The filter is so shit and small that it wouldnt filter out crap! This was the only filter in my system that I had from the bottle to the solenoid and IMO its useless and anyone getting nitrous should seriously think about getting another filter besides the 1/8 to 4 AN fitting with mesh screen that comes with the solenoid supplied by NX Express. The purpose of a nitrous filter is to prevent any debris or dirt to get the solenoid stuck in the open position because they would not be a good thing!..I took apart the new nitrous filter to see the construction of it, and the filter piece inside is the length of the barrel of the Billet housing..The Dyno Tune filter is well built and its the cheapest in price compared to other well known brands, it was nearly half the price! My entire system is NX Express but to charge double the price for a filter that looks the same is a little ridiculous so I went with Dyno Tune...Here are some pics
First pic is the stipped piece with cheap mesh as filter Second pic shows the cheap mesh filter in the 1/8 to 4 AN fitting Third pic shows it installed. I forgot to take pics of the inside of the new filter but like I said its about an inch long.. Fourth pic shows the filter from Dyno tune website...I thought the filter was made of copper from the pics but its aluminum as the color of the picture is off! Just pressure tested the new filter and its fitting with bottle pressure of 950 psi...Sprayed a little soap and water onto the fittings and no signs of bubbles!
Stilov hows your install coming along? |

Found a nice stretch today pulled over to to the service lane and then waited for a gap/window which I had the highway all to myself and WOT from 2nd
gear and I went 0-108~ and it was a rush...Now I know what this hype is all about My 5 pound bottle needs to be filled soon and the filling station is only 10 blocks away from my house. This is bad news because I want to spray all the time! I went from not touching the bottle in my trunk for two years, to wanting to spray at every chance I get when I take my car out! Lately I can't even seem to just cruise with the car and enjoy it when I have it out Fu.king meth and nitrous is killing me man..This shit is really addictive and I am not joking around either Posting this I actually had the urge to go out for a ride and get some more seat time on nitrous. |

hmmm...ran the new line today and set up my bottle heater. Maybe tomorrow I'll start spraying. Had some car trouble this week with the fusebox/battery cable SIB
Gotta order some parts...until then my glove box is torn out so I can wiggle the fusebox to get it started. |

Is that a good idea to even start your car being the way you described having wiggle the fuse box to get the car started, I think it's not |

Why not! I can see it happen I mean you have every single bolt-on performance mod, exterior mod and suspension mod made for the car in your SIG, what is another one added onto that list of goodies

Probably won't go for something crazy to break any records, but just enough to give me that little extra bump

I finally have a log of a run with nitrous on a .20 jet, 1000 psi bottle pressure using M10 and M7 nozzle when nitrous is activated. I am running Procede tune that DOES NOT integrate with nitrous and I know the easy way out is going with a JB4, but we will see in the future, but I have all the safety modules in place except for the rich/lean run cut off which I am in the process of looking into for further safety..I have a WOT switch, Rpm window switch triggers at 3000 and deactivates at 6200 and a "go fast" button. When I see methanol at full flow of the CM10 only then do I press the "go fast" button and it triggers the nitrous and the second meth injector to spray.. The car is really scary fast even with a small jet of .20 especially with DCS completely off and with a FULL TANK of gas!!!
What do you guys think? Last edited by cn555ic; 12-03-2011 at 11:22 AM.. |

I will rescale and let car adapt maybe the a/f will not look at choppy. The highest value recorded was 13.5 at 6845 till 6890 then it shifted...Although the 13.5 is on the high side, IMO with adaptation it will result in a/f of 11.5 to 12.
I think although there was no adaptations the a/f is relatively still on the safe side except for the 13.5 Look at the first line of values (rpms) and the last row (a/f) 6624 75.8 -29.4 -1 12.9 76 11.5 3.71 41.3 39.2 26 12.5 6631 75.4 -29 -1 13 72 12.5 3.69 42.2 39.2 26 12.5 6680 75.1 -28.6 -1 12.6 72 12.5 3.65 40.7 39.2 26 12.5 6673 74.9 -28.6 -1 12.9 72 12.5 3.57 41.1 39.2 26 13.5 6684 75.8 -28.6 -1 12.9 72 12.5 3.59 43.7 39.2 26 13.5 6749 74.6 -28.2 -1 12.4 73 12.5 3.55 40.1 39.2 26 12.2 6760 74.6 -28.2 -1 12.2 73 12.5 3.51 39.6 39.2 26 12.2 6778 74.4 -27.8 -1 12.4 73 12.5 3.43 39.3 39.2 26 12.2 6815 74.4 -27.5 -1 12.2 74 12.5 3.35 38.1 39.2 26 12.5 6887 74.2 -27.5 -1 12.1 74 12.5 3.35 41.4 39.2 26 12.5 6845 74 -27.5 -1 12.1 69 13 3.24 33.9 39.2 26 13.4 6838 73.7 -27.1 -1 12.1 69 13 3.2 38.7 39.2 26 13.4 6849 73.4 -27.1 -1 12 69 13 3.2 34 39.2 26 13.4 6845 73.1 -26.7 -1 11.7 70 13 3.16 40 39.2 26 12.4 6890 72.8 -26.7 -1 11.4 70 13 3.18 41.2 39.2 26 12.4 Last edited by cn555ic; 12-03-2011 at 09:58 PM.. |

I am good with the jets!! Lol. I know my limits. On a side note my Snow performance safeinjection seems to be acting up. I guess either the flow is too much for the safeinjection as the tech at Snow told me which i find to be ridiculous using a m7 and m10, or the location I have it installed gets too hot for the unit and the flow sensor goes limp Still trying to trouble shoot it and it doesnt always happen but I am preparing for the worst that the failsafe is defective. I was Browsing through the web, I found a aquamist flow sensor brand new for 60 bucks shipped!

The rpms indicated above is off nitrous so I am not too worried about a/f at 12.5-13.5 from 6300-6980. As long as when nitrous is activated I see richer than 12 I am comfortable with how the car is running on nitrous.

Merry Christmas everyone who celebrates this wonderful day! My wife asked me early this morning to pick up some fresh baked bread, so I decided to take the BEAST out, not that she had to twist my arm or anything because my intentions was to test the car out anyways!!! On the way home I wanted to see how my new Aquamist flow sensor (HE505) would work with my nitrous setup, as I already knew it worked with just one meth nozzle (M10). I needed to see if two nozzles would induce a overflow fault detection to the Procede, and the test showed it works PERFECT, no overflow fault detection!.. Let me tell you it performed better than any flow sensor I had so far. Its far more responsive and smooth as for indicating flow to the Procede. My other units Labonte and Snow weren't smooth in transitioning flow output to Procede and for some reason when I hit the target boost to activate meth, the other units there was a slight delay to activate the hazard lights to show max flow, the Aquamist unit there is literally no delay whatsoever. The Aquamist unit is so small that it makes installation so easy as it can fit anywhere compared to the Snow unit which is four times the size.
The ECU has adapted fully since my last nitrous run, and the A/F has leveled out and no longer wavy. Right now the car is running stronger than ever. I did a couple of runs with meth only (M10 nozzle) and one run with meth and nitrous (M10 + M7) Car was hauling ass from 0-112 with nitrous before I had to shut it down which I was very hesistant because the car was performing so smoothly, but I ran out of highway! Hopefully this Aquamist unit holds up and doesn't crap out on me like the others (Labonte and Snow Performance) using higher concentrations of meth, but I am highly optimistic with this new unit. I am currently using a 90/10 mix. After this flow sensor there are really no other alternatives that I havent tried besides the one from CM, but I havent heard any good things about it so that will not be an option in the future for me! I'll keep you guys posted on my setup from time to time. Nitrous is one of my best mods I have and if you respect the power, it will reward you with safe power consistently! Just dont go overboard BTW.. I am still rocking the .20 jet! Merry Christmas everyone! Gotta go help the kids put their presents together! Last edited by cn555ic; 12-25-2011 at 08:37 PM.. |
