Congrats on getting the BBK to work on the 328xi. They look really good. Since you have an xi, the rears should be a direct fitment right?

I just retrofitted the 335 brakes on my 328xi and love em. Definately notice a big improvement in braking power at high speeds.
Replaced the Front and Rears. Since the xi has the same brake shoes in the rear as the 335, it was a straight swap.

I only did the fronts. People were saying that they would fit but you'd lose the handbrake function

Not if you have an xi

The radius dimension of the brake shoes (handbrake) is 185mm on 328xi and 328 convertible. This dimension is the same for 330 and 335 handbrakes. This means that the rotors are direct swap and you WILL NOT lose the handbrake feature.

I have done this on my xi and still have the handbrake.

Not the non xi and non convertible have a smaller radius at 160mm. These cars won't be able to do a direct swap to 33s rotors as the will lose the handbrake feature (unless they do some modding).

I see that you have an xi, so you should be good to do the rears as well based on my 335 installation.

curious...What's you reasoning for getting the big brake kit? Do you autocross or track your car?

Makes sense then to have them. I have AP Racing BBK on my other card and they squeal like a pig once in a while. In those times, I race down a country road to about 60mph and slam on the brakes to burn off the coating of the brake pads (Hawk). I do that about 3 times and the squeal is gone.

So those brakes are from a 330i?..and can they fit on a 328XI?

They're made by brembo and are for 325i, 328i, and 330i. I had to modify them to make them fit since the awd is slightly different. I didnt have enough money to blow on stoptechs, so this was my cheaper alternative lol. I believe they are the same as the stock 135i brakes but just painted differently

Hawks are great, but notorious for noise.

Hawks are badass pads and they stop you on a dime but they are noisey if you don't run them on the hard and hot! (That's what she said! )
