The funny thing is I also bought one of the first in 2006 - a manual.
This one wil have a 7 speed DCT.
The interesting part is that the dealer has given me two loan cars while waiting for mine...very nice since I had to hand in my other leased car on June 28.
One a 320 diesel and a 318 diesel
What I assume is electric steering...not that great v hydraulic
Like the interior especially since I am critical of the after thought nav screen

Other observations
Great gear boxes 8 speed great economy
I just can not come to like that outside exterior...that upright grill connected to the head lights...yuk
And that is what I don't like about the new coupe and that the rear glass slope looks like the Audi A5 fastback...just too long...probably not describing it well and will reserve judgement but getting the e92 at a substantial discount I know I won't be disappointed after 2 years in a Japanese car!!

Can't wait
Good luck with it mate, bring it along to the putty rd run on the 18th august!

My dream BMW would be E92 shape, with the 4 series headlight (laser), 4 series interior (particularly for the new gear shifter and new cup holders, old ones are too prone to break), and those new tech in 4 series (LSD!)
I don't like the shape of the 4 series, looks too like the Audis...and the stance is not that sporty in 4 series, being too long maybe. I hate the new trunk, especially for the new tail lights too!
E90 & E92/3 got a very different tail light shape.
New 4 series is also pricier than the E92 too. Thought BMW Is repositioning the 4 series.....

The 4 series has got too big and bulky in size and style. It looks to me like the upcoming 235i will be a more sporty replacement for the 3 series coupe.

Exactly what I think as well they have gotten too big and wide, my E92 is perfect getting to a size of a Commodore.
Not for me.
Hope the handling and steering is a lot better than the sedan.
But as Chris Harris said in his video its boring to drive.

Think i will stay with the E92 for the moment, Such a nice classic coupe shape.

The new car looks fine everywhere except for the front, not my cup of tea looks a bit lost in space i guess you could just fit the E92 M3 front and then i could live with it

It seems the Mr BMW has stuffed all the new cars with the strange fronts maybe its just me

Character lines are too flat; they don't impart a sense of implicit motion like the e92 did. Among other design problems...
