I ended up getting similar resonators put on my UR exhaust and most (not all of it) of the droning ended up going away.
Did the overall sound get quieter as well, or just the drone was reduced.

from my experience there is drone on the milltek, but it is minimal. worst of all its at the ideal crusing speed (just off the legal limit) at or around 80mph in top gear

I'd say the overall volume went down quite a bit as well as a reduction in drone (1800-2200 rpm).

I can't remember the part number, but I do remember it was a 12"-14" in-line resonator from Magnaflow.

Yup. I had to put washers in there as well.

Hmmm, thanks. Id hate to lose volume but I figured that the drone was related it it though.

When I had the stock E90 resonator in the car I still had some drone but very very mild. When I removed it and put the Magnaflow XPipe in, the drone was the same, in the same RPM range, but it got louder, but so did the rest of the exhaust. So it seems its a characteristic of the exhaust, but at this point its liveable and I love the tone of the Eisenmann Sport too.

I loved my Milltek so much on my e46 M3!
Everybody was getting eisenman and supersprint, but the Milltek is the ultimate sounding exhaust for the daily driver that doesn't want anything obtrusive.

I was really looking forward to getting this Milltek for my car but there wasn't anything yet for the e90, so I customized an exhaust keeping the Milltek sound in mind for the sound I was going for.
The downpipes will make the car sound raspier, but the 12" straight through resonators work will with taking care of the rasp.

This is what I got now:

we had similar experience to G33 here in the the Uk.

The exhaust looks well made but just didn't fit very well once on Tony's car.

That brace plate definitely gets in the way and the drone was soo bad Tony took it back and got his money back

We're still trying to find something that sounds stock, but frees up the 10HP or so.

What did Terry end up doing with his ? Did he run catless dps with the stock echaust.

I'm seriously considering this

I know this is OT, but did you guys unplug the neg terminal on the bat to let the ecu relearn when putting on a new exhaust?
