Exploring BMW Roots

I guess we've collected a few old BMW's over the past several months and the last one we just added was the old 2002. We plan on fully restoring all of them.

1970 2002
1983 320is
1991 325is

the 1970 2002 is amazing. me and my father have been looking for one to restore for a couple weeks now. there not very easy to find in any sort of reasonable condition. any chance i could get any more pics of it?

Looks great, I think you guys are doing a public service to the enthuist community by keeping these oldtimers on the road!

Does BMW have an extensive parts catalog for all their previous models? I know Mercedes is really good with their Classic Centers, they still have all the blueprints for almost any part from any year and can make it new if required.

I'll take some pictures of the 2002 thoroughly. It's a little beat up and we paid $1500 for it but it runs and gets us from point A to point B just fine. We've got a ton in store for the little 2002 including a motorswap and definitely a paint overhaul.

A lot of the parts have been discontinued now so we might have to go parts diving one of these weekends at a junk yard for 2002 parts but the E21 and E30 parts can still be purchased from the dealer. 2002 parts are becoming harder and harder to find.
