Sorry to thread jack...
It took less than a minute to load the 9-10 maps and then another to walk through the command interface to load things. Less than five all in. There was something about step three that hit the DME, erasing my trip mileage information and resetting some other things. It was all sorted after a restart except the clock and setting that fixed the battery problem. I use a MacBook Pro with a Windows 7 VM attached to the USB interface on the PROCede. I did the update late in the afternoon and did not drive the car until morning when I saw the battery discharge problem.
