FS: M3 Cluster Parts (needles, rings, etc)

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I have a couple clusters that I stripped down and wanted to see if anyone was interested in the parts to mod their own cluster. Prices are shipped in the Cont. US, Paypal preferred.

Needles - $120 shipped per set.

I also have links to DIYs for the install...its really simple.

Here is what they look like installed...

Backing plates - $50 Shipped

The portion behind the gauge face, which is black on the non-M, silver on the M. This should be interchangeable.

6MT Surrounds - $150 Shipped

DCT surrounds - $150 Shipped

There are some clear plastic pieces to be trimmed over the tach that are used for the DCT shift lights.

Gauge faces - $30 Shipped
No idea what you're going to do with these.

I'm not sure which item you mean...the "backing plates" or the gauge rings themselves?

I doubt it, the ring itself is just like a cover.

Correct, the LEDs are on the circuit board of the M3 cluster. The ring around the tachometer just has holes and clear plastic inserts. Personally I think it adds a little character to the cluster, even without having LEDs behind the ring.

The 6MT surrounds are SOLD! Might be able to come up with another piece if needed though. Backing plates, needles, faces, and 2 DCT surrounds still available!

how about the gray surrounds? any chance to find those anywhere? That would be sweet, want to break up the blackness of the interior.

thinking about ordering the surrounds (i have steptronic but i guess its better to get the 6MT rings?) and the needles.

but holy expensive price!

The only other option is to purchase a cluster new ($1100) or used (~$500), so these prices are justified.

Sarcasm? Regardless...they are fair, and I've sold a number of items at these prices. I'm willing to work with buyers, but I'd like to get my money back out of the clusters.
