I am thinking of blacking out my 2010 e90 because I like the aggressive look of black on black. Grille, reflectors, wheels and possibly the tail lights. My dilemma is that this is my DD and I am a Director at a Heathcare IT company. I am worried that the black on black may be too much and come off as ghetto. My compromise would be to go with the black grille and reflectors but skip the black wheels and go with hyper silver or hyper black, something a little more classy looking. I have been looking at jet black e90 pics for days and can't make up my mind. I'm drawn to the black on black look but I don't want to look like a murderer when I pull up to the office.

My wife thinks that black wheels look like spare tires. LOL

i have a black E92 and just did black reflectors and I'm about to order black kidney grilles and lower grilles and tint and i can post some pics once I'm done but i had a similar mind set... i think all black is a little "ghetto". My wheels are gunmetal vmr 710s and i receive compliments from all ages of people. I think it helps make it looks aggressive, but still maintain some "class".

I think the black grille is a no brainer, it looks really sweet on a black e9x.

Black reflectors are subtle and an easy/cheap mod that gives the front a clean look.

The black wheels are really the deciding factor. The apex arc-8 satin black wheels looks really nice. But again, might be too much black. And I imagine they are like a black car and look like crap when they are dirty.

Hyper black or gun metal might be a nice offset from all the black. The 2010 e90s don't have chrome trim on windows. It's all black.

Ya, I was going to with 265/35/18 (18x9.5") in the rear. I like the way wider tires look in the rear as well.

Black out anything you want. Leave the rims. They are what make you look like ur 18 in the ghetto. Leave them alloy and oem.

I'd think something along the lines of "Hrm, I wish I could actually see what the wheels look like." Black wheels lose a lot of detail.

I like the diamond cut too because it's the best of both worlds on a black car. The black brings out that black out feel and makes the silver part pop more. I really like the hyper black pic at the end too.

I've seen an E90 with wide rear wheels. I don't remember if it was an M3 or not, but it looked very nice and aggressive. You should consider that too.

I currently have 225/45/17 all the way around, from the dealer. So, 265/30/19 in the rear will be MUCH wider.
