Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W-30 Engine Oil for the 335d/X5d

Is it possible to find this engine oil anywhere in Canada? I highly doubt it's available here and want to start putting it in my D:

http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...ula_5W-30.aspx

So I ask my fellow D owners that live in the USA. Do you guys know of any stores/sites that would ship me the oil to Canada?

Thanks!

GBD, it's not Mobil, but check out this oil: http://www.epc.shell.com/Docs/GPCDOC...20227110_5.pdf

Check out all the approvals. It has superior specs to the Mobil, and it might be available in Canada. I will be using this oil once my factory oil changes cease.

Edit: These guys sell it (I've bought from them), you'll have to check to make sure they will ship to Canada: http://oilstore.stores.yahoo.net/peuleulfusym.html

Thanks DD. I clicked on "order" and sure enough I get the options to pick the provinces for our country here in Canada. Only thing I don't like is they UPS because those tools ALWAYS ask for broker fees at my door.

Also, how much in "1" unit of that oil?

Contact them to make sure, but I expect that "1 unit" is a 6 quart case.

Hey DD. I went online and noticed that Pennzoil claims to sell the oil at a local chain we call "Canadian Tire" here. I drove out to one expecting to see every other Pennzoil oil BUT the diesel one. Sure enough that's exactly what happened and the parts guy also had no clue when I asked him to look through his database on the computer.

I sent a few emails to Pennzoil asking them where I can find this oil in Canada.

I'm expecting the answer to be "nowhere."

I had a tough time finding it too. I think it's actually a Euro oil, but it's been a while since I did my digging, so I might be remembering incorrectly. It's good stuff, I know that much!

Regarding the M1 ESP, are you close enough to the border to maybe dive into Buffalo and get it there?

I'm about just under 2 hours from the border but would never drive in for anything.

It has a superior HTHS value than M1, which is one of the values I consider important. It was superior in other ways, but I don't have the values in front of me to quote.

It also has superior viscosity at 40c, and a much better VI. Mobil doesn't quote volatility figures, so don't know about that one.

Either of these oils is fine for our application; I just gave GBD my opinion on what I prefer.

I replied in the other thread, had no memory of even posting in this one! LOL

I haven't been able to find the ash % on this oil, but by virtue of the fact it meets LL04, we know it's below .8. I wish I could find out for sure, but that's the only number I can infer.
