I dont believe in that AMS calender...
Model change appears normally every September of the year. So it only makes sense, that the facelift will be available in Sept. '08.

btw. I hope the facelift-E90 will get the M-Pack of the E92.

Ah, gotcha. I don't think the headlights are going to change much, unfortunately. I think the amber reflectors are a DOT requirement and it's a lot easier for BMW to change part of the headlight than tack on a new part to the fender or something.

Actually, my guess is that the E90/E91 mighy get the "tack-on" ambers like the face-lifted 5 series and M5 have, and the new M3 (both E90 and E92) has. This would allow BMW to use the same headlight housing as in Europe.

I was hoping they were going to make blackline's standard. I guess its kinda good, those who have them will still be a select few of the general population...

Wonder if there will be an interior update along with the exterior? Does BMW usually do both?

It's not the official presentation calender, it's the sale calender. So bothe E90/91 FL can be presented in Paris (mondial de l'automobile) next september, and be in store on the AMS dates

Ok, now the calender makes sense.

btw. I thought the first presentation of the facelift will be at the Int. Autosalon in Geneva..?!

Well presenting the FL in Geneva in march, and cars in store in Oct/nov '08 will be completly idiot... 8 Monthes of wait ???!!! This year BMW presented in Geneva (march)the E60/61 FL, the cars came in shop one month later: end of april-beg may

We have to possibilities:
AMS is right with oct/nov, so the car will be presented in Paris and we are wrong with awaiting a presentation in march in geneva.
AMS is wrong with his timetable, the FL is presented in March in Geneva and we can then except to see the cars in shop between march-may '08.

My favorite one is the 2nd of course... please bmw, november is to awayyyyy
1 marketing point for Geneva; BMW unveills their new product either in Frankfurt or in Geneva. Less in Paris. let's cross our finger and have some hope... Or go and smoke some gr......

The inner taillights on the spypics are covered with tape.. so we just can speculate how they will look after the facelift.

Large mirrors are good - you'll see better and notice the cops and idiots around you better. Porsche mirrors are big.

I think the face lift will be good. I really dislike the current e90/e91 front and rear (side profile is excellent). I'm in for an e91, and hope the refresh will make it a good reason to go forward.

Hi SANK_CH,
where is this pic from? Is it an older one...?! The "mustache" is still alive, but the front bumper seems to be new.. and the large mirrors are also missing..?!

btw. AMS is also talking about LED lights.. lets see what comes out.

sry that it is only in german but i am to lazy to translate..

i believe the tail and head lights will have daytime runnin angel eyes (obviously) and the rear lights will possibly have more signature lines... if not brighter... but the e90 m3 prolly should definitely have blacklines or whitelines

Pic came from Autobild.de under the link all new 2008 cars. Can't confirm the date of the shooting. But both sites have this 2008 cars topic, and on both sites they claims the car come for sept-oct '08.
Led should be used as well for the backward lights, like new mirror too. Your article is an old one.

if the pictures shown of the first post on this topic are the good one i must say : UGLY !

Front bumper does not look any "sport looking", VERY BAD !

And what to say about the rear, lights too small, looking like the 1-serie. It looks like an Audi A4, 1 generation before. Or like a Mercedes for the Wagon (on pahe 5 of this topic if i'm right).

i hope they wil think on this again ...

Would be nice that the x-drive comes to the 2.0L engines like SANK_CH told
