30ff Code Please Help

Scanned the car today got a 30FF code and hear tubro whistle and wastegate rattle 18000km of 12psi boost????

Leak around diverter valves or intercooler. Or the wastegate could be stuck open (that's what I think my problem was). Or turbos are going.

How can my turbo's be going already

... its practically brand new with 32000km... and theres no leaks!!! going in this week to the stealership

my advice is first check for leaks. If you are still throwing the code remove all mods and make sure you can still replicate the code and then take it in. Which dealership in Toronto are you going to? Parkview even made me take off my boost gauge because they were faulting that for 30FF before finally replacing my turbos.

took out all the tunes, checked for a boost leak.... scanned the car but no codes thrown did 3 WOT.... Yet the whine is still there and the rattle is even worse during a cold start this morning... the whine goes away after 3k rpm... feels sluggish like i have a 325xi ... and I'm either going to autohaus or marenello heard DT bmw is a PITA.

So basically your not reaching your boost target when your targeting over stock boost levels it seems like. There has been a post about the whine before, does it sound like a police siren under light acceleration?

Any chance you could log a couple WOT runs to see how the boost is looking?

Ya it does's sound like a siren with light accel between 1500-3000 rpms... im takin in tomorrow wont be able to WOT runs... its more the ticking noise when idling which is more noticable

Well hopefully the dealer can figure it out for you, as for the siren if it goes away after the car gets a bit warmer then it's something a lot of n54's experience during the summer time... nothing to worry about as far as I know.

Check the cp. I had that code and my leak was on the cp on the intercooler connector side.
