Blowing off a brand new S-Class
Just like a kid this guy was at the lights with me. I knew he was going to try to show off his stuff but I was ready with hands on the paddle shifters in M1.
He never got ahead of me and I was several car lengths in front of him at 90 MPH where he gave up. Kind of ironic his car was black with a saddle interior.

what are your mods and which S class was it?
MB states the S550 RWD is 0-60 5.4 sec "One of our most advanced engines generates 382 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque, with an amazing 75% of peak torque available at just 1,000 rpm. To help reduce engine weight and increase durability, the engine block is made of cast aluminum with a solid bedplate, an ideal construction for performance. Indeed, the engine's smooth, immediate power delivery whisks the S 550 from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds.(1)" http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/#/vehi...V&yr=2009&vc=S

I honestly think "street kill" stories make this board worse. This thread is proof of that.

I like 6SpeedOnline and CorvetteForum's policy on this, it's simply not allowed. I mean, I don't know why street kill stories are allowed here to be honest. It can only lead to a very, very... very bad place.

+1000000. what's with this stop light racing thing anyways, immature IMHO, and doesn't prove anything about your car/driving skills. I personally feel that S Class >>>>>> 3-series, but it all depends on what you want isn't it?

Here's something to think about: I actually let Honda Civics win because it's not worth my gas to race a stock Honda Civic SI.
Just me but I like to respect other fast expensive cars on the road, give them the nod, and compliment them on the car. In return, it's nice to get a compliment back from the guy who drives an Aston Martin DB9 (and no it wasn't Bond). |
