Vishnu Maps

So none of the last DIC maps agreed with my car, I was always getting un-even throttle control between 3-4k in all gears while keeping the pedal steady.
Some said clutch is bad, some said no way it can't be the map .

Now, after loading the 12-17 map everything is fine.
So if your having a crap driving experience with dic maps try 12-17.

Perhaps maybe by this fall there will be some actual non-beta maps, that are suppose to work with all the cars.

did you reset your adaptations through command center after loading up the latest maps/firmware...if you didn't you'll have all kinds of issues..

I've had no problems and excellent results with the current 5-10 DIC maps. Beta is just a word. Shiv could take 5-10, rename them 6-1 Stable, and very few people would know.

i received all kind of issues/codes but after reset and on/off on the start button, it works fine with 5-10 map.

Yes sir, i did that with the 3-15 and 3-30 map
I have yet to try the 5-10. Because i have been running this 12-17 for a bit to make sure there is nothing wrong mechanically with my car.

I just ran my car with the 5-10 maps for 3 hrs up and down some mountains in 90F heat and high humidity without a single hiccup. I would agree that you need to double check the adaptation resets and make sure you followed the reset procedures correctly.

where can i find the adaptation reset procedures?

i once did the reset, and my car had an asthma attack and throwing codes like crazy. so i had to reinstall my 5-10 maps. now i can't find the reset procedures, does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

Load the new 6-14 beta posted on their site with V5 sofyware, first firmware, remove key, reinsert key after 5 sec, load maps, do adaptation reset with ign on engine off (the reset has already been explained to you on another thread) Remove key 5 sec and start the car.

I didn't know you had to do any resetting.

Looking at their Firmware and Map load how-to, and their associated videos, it doesn't mention needing to reset anything following a firmware and map load.

I think that's a bit old, every version of the maps and firmware I've seen comes with a Readme file that describes the update procedure which includes resetting several things via command center.

You should reset adaptions in Mode 3. Items 12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 in that order on every firmware update, map update, as well as any hiccup that magically comes about.

It is a prerequisite to all trouble shooting problems before moving forward.

when you select mode three, does it start at item 1? or zero?

cause as i move up or down the item, its always +1. for example. if i count to item 9 assuming default at 0, the speedometer needle is pointing at 100.

If I recall, 120 KMH is "12" on the US speedo.



So where the 120 is in KMH is "12".

Ok, I finally "upgraded" to the 12-17 maps. Let me say...holy crap, the car is unbelievably fast now. And before you say oh well the 5-10 maps are just as fast but smooth, I doubt it. The car pulls so hard and just rockets ahead. I pulled on the highway, and run through a couple gears and looked down and was at 130. This is what I thought the Procede would be when I bought it.
With the Procede, I havent had one error code or any problems whatsoever...with either map. This thing is great!
I am going to the 1/4 track this Thursday, and will see what she runs.

As an alternative, the adaption reset should be able to be performed through the Vishnu software. I'm surprised Shiv hasn't implemented this into the software yet, instead of relying on the cruise control stalk that not everyone has.

In actuality, the adaptation resets aren't 100% necessary. Just a good idea. It's the Procede reset that is most important.
