Help With Eibach Springs....

Dumb question, but I'll admit I'm a noob when it comes to stuff like this.

Can oem springs be changed over to Eibach springs without also having to change anything else i.e shocks/dampers etc - in other words can I just do a straight spring swap as all I'm trying to acheive is a slight drop, plus piece-of-mind that I'm running with better quality springs.

My car is an msport but came with the msport suspension deletion option, and other than the 'ride' I really have no idea of the mechanical differences between msport suspension and se suspension - anyone know what the differences are?

Cheers for any help.

eibach springs

I started with msport suspension then installed eibach pro springs to be honest liked the drop but hated the ride thought it became very crashy etc over pot-holes etc. After a bit of reading i then installed bilstein b4s dampers and shorter bump-stops totally transformed the ride. All the harshness over rough ground disappeared .

I did a eibach pro straight swap , i found it much better to take corners as they are stiffer. Next i changed the tires to normal rubber and it was night and day different. I had non-rft with m-sport suspension during the winter before and then RFT with Eibach pro and now Non -RFT with eibach pro. If you do driving in alot of bumpy areas with raised bumps to slow traffic down. you are going to hate it.

I've had the eibach's on both my previous cars although they were both E36's & was very happy with them. They used to state on their website that the springs were designed to work perfectly with the standard original shocks although if they are worn I would change them for new units at the same time.

Any pictures of them installed?

I'm after Eibach Pros as the front sits far too high.

Ive opted for H&Rs hopefully have them on this weekend. Supposed to be alot lower but some say harsher (and some say no worse than m sport)
