time: 8:15am, we leaving at 8:30am

this is the place for norcal members to meet up first b4 going down to slo. please don't get confused.

one possibility is to meet at the albertsons shopping center off bernal road in san jose. there's a starbucks there, mcky d's and jack n a crack for a quick bite, and a shell gas station near by just in case.

I live in Almaden...sorta near that Albertons off Bernal near 85. I would suggest meeting near Almaden Lake..on the winfield side...lots of parking..bathrooms...photoshoot opportunities.

hopefully somebody with a v1 can help us out and travel in front of the pack. we'll hit kings county on the way to slo on 101. kings county is notorious for pulling over speeders, so take extra precaution.

might be a good idea for everybody to bring a two-way radio (i.e. motorola talk-about).

good idea. anyone have v1 or passport? i have one motorola radio. I got a speeding ticket at king county, those cops are nasty.

I have 2 motorola talk-abouts, but I'm sure any walkie-talkie type device could all pick up the same band.

^ yea, they usually all run on the same frequency, regardless of brand. it's better to have the ones with the sub channels though (less interference from others not in our party). if you're thinking of buying one, i found the ones made by motorola to be the best.
