How many gallons Plasti Dip

Id rather get my car wrapped grey.
Then I found out there was a clear matte plastidip that I could spray over my Sparkling Graphite Metallic E90 that gives a frost grey look, which is what I'm going for.
So why not save money for the same look. No hate.

I was wondering how many gallons it will take to cover my car (approx. 3 coats)
Ive looked around and cant find anything. Considering that 2 or so gallons would probably do the trick. (Not Plastidipping the roof)

Anyone with experience have any input?

Much appreciated.

Best bet would be to hit up the DYC forums they have some pretty solid guides and how to's already out there. From experience though I can tell you 3 gallons will be enough. You'll probably only need 2 1/2 but its nice to have some extra in case of a mistake. Remember go thicker on the front bumper and hood ~twice as many coats as rest of car. It'll hold up against road debris much better.

3 gallons should do it, but more coats the better!

DYC recommends 4-5 coats. I'd get 4 gallons and call it a day

Your going from grey to grey so you need 3 gallons.

If you were going to black to white (or white to black) then you need 4 gallons.

Update with pics when you're done, this is what I plan to do as well. I was thinking of clear bra but then I thought about matte clear to get frozen grey, which should be easier than wrapping the entire car myself.
