ALWAYS in 1st or reverse, and ALWAYS set ebrake first. You should NEVER use just one or the other - unsafe.

1st and e-brake, pretty much 100% of the time. Still wondering about the OP's original question...why are you looking to know this?

Mostly in first gear, no e-brake on level or slightly inclined surfaces. Might use e-brake on steep incline.

Folks that do tracking (hot discs) never use the e-brake after their sessions, otherwise the discs are warped and ruined.

E-brake on flats like everyone else. And if you go to San Francisco, you'll need e-brake plus 1st or 2nd gear.

I recently left my car in 1st only on a small incline (driveway), when I came back the car moved roughly 2 feet - Is this indicative of a worn clutch or malfunctioning CDV?

Might have been on the verge of a compression stroke when you parked. May also be gnomes.

same here. I pull the ebrake with the clutch in, then kill the engine and let the clutch out in 1st gear.

I use one of these:

On a serious note, I usually leave it in neutral and e brake.
I never not use the e brake.
On a hill I use 1st, e brake, and wheels turned where the the tire is resting on the curb. (I hate when I see the wheels turned the oposite way. )

1st gear + e-brake. I apply both before I let off the foot-brake so I can't say for sure which ones "applies 1st"... but since clutch is engaged still when I hit the E-brake I guess it would catch and the gear would be a back-up.

I use the car/wall in front of, or behind my car, to keep it from rolling.
