I did a conversion recently on my LCI SE to Msport front bumper. Amazing transformation.
There are so many for sale on ebay. There are many specialist bumper breakers and i paid £140 inc delivery. There will always be some minor scratches so will need full respray but at this price there should be no damages to clips or cracks/dent. I just spotted a brand new bumper for sale for £275 plus £25 delivery. The seller has the offer option too. I would think if offered cash on collection he would he would offer a decent discount as no ebay/paypal fee lost by seller. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-SERI...QAAOSwSWJXQyj0 With the new bumper you will still need to respray so personally would go for a very good condition used bumper for under £150 with delivery. A good body shop can make the used bumper like new saving you over £100. I would stay away from new bumper from BMW.. they cost around £500 |

thanks for the reply m8. I found one today for 135 in silver in a very good condition, just some scratches which will go once sanded and resprayed.
Just one question. One seller tried to confuse me that I should go for a light coloured bumper as my car is white. Now this doesnt make sense to me...The bumper will get sanded anyway, primed and then colour and coat... |

Its debatable I guess. I agree with the seller but others may not
I have a black car so was only looking for a black bumper. The garage sanded the bumper ready for grey primer. The sanding did not completely remove all the old black paint but just prepared it for the primer. My concern was in future if someone scratched my bumper and managed to remove the black and primer. I did not want patches of the original light colour showing. If someone scraped your white and primer and exposed previous black paint then it would really stick out, but silver wont be that bad. |
