+1 on the BMW performance exhaust. I really love it, but I can't justify spending $1200+ for just sound....

something like this: http://dukedynamics.com/products/e92_diffuser/index.php
I have the Msport rear bumper on my car. I didn't know you could just swap out the diffuser part, though. Learned something new today. lol The ones pictured are a little too garish for my liking. I'll have to find something that looks like the stock one with the opening for quads. I'm pretty much sold on the Remus after watching marcus321 vid. Sounds deep and throaty. Deepthroaty.
Now to start checking between the couch cushions for spare change!

I have a CF diffuser on my Msport rear just so you know. With stock DP's, I love the sound of my Remus Race. With the canflaps open, it sounds even better under open throttle!

There are some better looking diffusers out there.

Depends on what you are in for. I haven't had trouble at all whenever I took it in for maintenance and warranty repairs not involving the turbos such as vanos solenoids, cracked taillights, dbs system etc. If I suspect I have a turbo problem, then I'll put my stock downpipes back on.

Why is everyone so into a DEEP exhaust? Has anyone complained about the noise a Ferrari makes? LOL.

Growl vs scream. You can't make (our) inline 6 sound like an F1 car, so growling it is.

If I thought I could make this car sound like a 458 Italia I'd possibly go for it, but I don't think that's in the cards. Plus, I grew up drag racing "pony cars" so a bit of rumble is music to my ears. I still think a (dare I say it) Fox body 5.0 with Flowmasters is one of the greatest exhaust sounds around. But, I have to agree, I've never heard a Ferrari and said "jeez, if only it sounded a bit deeper". Those things give me eargasms.

I dont have neighbours and compared to my friend's 335 (he has aftermarket midpipe and muffler, won't name them) his drone is unbearable compared to mine. I'd never go back to my stock muffler, and it has been like 8 months since I made the muffler delete, never regretted it.

+1 for the AE exhaust coupled with catless DPs - I love the sound - although it's deepest on a cold start - drones from 1.6k-2k RPMs ish - which is pretty similar range from the stock exhaust drone so I am assuming it's not an exhaust specific issue.

I am planning on recording the sound from cold start on to some warm gear pulls and I can post the link here when it's finished so you can compare before you buy,
