Yellow Fog Lights

Going to be a fairly small topic but I'm looking for yellow fog lights and I wonder which is best to get and where from?

I noticed some of us on here had/have them and I think not only do they give a good contrast, but provide better light output in the wintery months!

Don't quote me on this AS I don't remember who's car it was, although it was a bloody sweet looking E92, either it was 'creepy coupe' or 'notnormal'....

So, which yellow fog lights and where to buy from folks

Sam

ECS has Yellow bulbs from Ziza.

What I did on my E92 335i was put the yellow bulbs in, then yellow Lamin-X film over it just to protect it from rock chips and such. I've had some experiences with almost all my foglights on all my cars cracking from road debris...

I always think yellow fogs look dated, they used to be popular xxyrs ago, but as you won't be using them unless visibility is very bad nobody will ever notice what colour they are

Cheers folks. Granted they might be dated but I might decide to keep them on... be individual in that sense and as it is, they'll not be used much in the year so happy to go withyellow bulbs and lamin-x.

ECS seems a US company.. does anyone know of a UK based supplier? Also 2500k?

Cheers.

Yellow film is a type if tint and will decrease light output, so it won't " be better light output for the winters months"
You should get an HID kit and use 2500k bulbs.
It will be more light output than the normal halogen bulb.

What HID kit can you recommend in that case?

Fyi, when I said 'better light output for winter months' in my #1 post, there was no cross reference of applying yellow film.. the lamin-x came a few posts after..

Garage List
LaminX way to go! Don't listen to the naysayers - it makes no difference at all to light output, and as a bonus it protects the glass lenses from stone breakage...

Umm... HID's are not meant for Fog Lights....

That would be a terrible mistake if you went the HID route.

Lamin-X doesnt hurt the light output at all...

France

Yellow lights were very popular in France. Always thought it made their cars looked like they had liver disease. Matter of taste I guess

LOL. Well for a relatively cheap change, it's worth a looksie. What's the worst? I'll only just replace it back to oem.
