Upgraded Transmission mount DIY
Note: Not responsible for any damage to you or your car, this worked on my car so will work on yours.
***This tutorial assumes you know how to get your car secured on jack stands, if in doubt do NOT attempt this DIY! You can get Rogue Engineering transmission mounts here: http://hpashop.com/Rogue-Engineering...s-e9x-nonM.htm Tools Need not in pic (2 jacks if possible & block of wood, (1) for a safety catch in case jack stand fail (I saw this happen and will NEVER forget it)....safety 1st). Torque specs: transmission mounts: 21Ft Lbs Transmission brace bolts: 25ft lbs Suggestions/notes: This assumes you know how to take off plastic panels and you may have to take off (1) aluminium tray, My car was completely dismanteled (exhaust, differential, driveshaft for subframe bushing, lock-down differential kit, wavtrac install) but it does not appear you need to take off driveshaft or exhaut to do this. Drive shaft does not need to be removed: Transmission mounts removal/install:

So you can confirm the exhaust does not either, I was doing other mods at the time and figured the exhaust had to be dropped, if so I will edit my DIY

nothingnthat I noticed until after the install....I alo did a lot of other mods at the same time and was a huge difference combined. My buddy put these on his car nd noticed tighter/ almost faster smoother shifts. For $60.00 you can't go wrong honestly.

thanks for all the info. I have a minor NVH issue when the car is at rest and transmission is in in D, DS or R. Slight vibration. Doesn't occur in P or N, so I'm wondering if this (replacement mounts) might cure it. Not a terrible problem but wouldn't mind seeing it disappear for $60 and some of my spare time.

Bumping an old thread. Rob I know there’s some conjecture about whether these are at all useful for 6AT cars…I just ordered a pair, it seems like such a logical driveline upgrade. To be clear- you’re happy with these on your 6AT? The price and relative ease of install makes these too good to pass up, even if the difference is marginal for an auto box. Of course, I’m not pushing well over 500 torques to the wheels like you are
Thanks as always bud
