Car buffing kit recommendations

Does anyone have a recommendation for a buffing kit to get that extra shine from the Sunday wash?

Thanks,

What do you use to watch the car now, even how?

I wash with Autoglym or BMW or Mequirs car wash and then use Mequirs gold wax. I use a Mequirs hand applicator and buffer. When I am in a hurry I wash and then use turtle wash and wax, no buffing, just dry it off.

Assuming the paint work is not bad try this.

http://www.waxattack.co.uk/?page_id=1128

Two coats then your wax of choice.

The secret is in the preparation though.

I would
rinse
pressure wash with APC
rinse
snow foam
rinse
remove decontamination (iron and tar) - try TRIX
rinse and or snow foam again
clay
rinse
polish
cleanse with IPA
wax glaze - 2 coats
use a sealant C1+ and C1.5 (two coats of the later)
wax - 2 coats.
seal alloys

Interior and glass - yet more work.

Two or three days later a gleaming car just needing a wash or a snow foam when dirty for 6 months.

So do you wax your car every Sunday then?

If done properly it would only really need done twice a year.

There's no need to apply wax after C1.5, the wax is adding no benefit.

Indeed there is no need but I like to. Partly because I think it looks better but really because I enjoy doing it.

Certainly avoid an electric buffer like this from Halfords

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165640

No quicker on a car than a decent buffing cloth.

A good coat of wax a couple of times a year and then use some detailer spray when drying off, keeps a nice "zing" to the paintwork looks. I am using FinishKare 425 at the moment but even Megs Last Touch is an excellent option.
