CIC pro nav question
Hi all,
I upgraded my sat nav system from a CCC system to CIC. I noticed last night the I could not get the pop up visual guidance prompts to come on I checked the options and the pop up guidance box was ticked lane guidance worked whilst on the motorway but then nothing once on A roads etc. Has the CIC system lost this feature? I can't believe it has. I have 2013 premium maps loaded as well. I tried full and split screen but nothing. I miss the count down to turn prompts. So can anyone shed any light on this oddity? I do not have a CIC user manual as its been retrofitted. Thanks for any input guys Jon

On my F10 the prompts appear in the dashboard display. Perhaps your retrofitted unit thinks it's in an F-series car and the pop-up is trying to appear in the dashboard display, which it obviously cannot in an E9x?

F series and E series system / modules work on different technology and hence people are struggling to retrofit NBT CIC on E series.

It gives you those instructions if you are on a split screen and smaller screen is not on navigation mode. (lets say its on entertainment system.)

Thanks sam, I will try that later tonight. I don't think I've tried that configuration.

I have now tried every combination and the only pop up prompts I get are when on motorways
As soon a I'm back on A roads I have no pop up navigation propts. I'm flumoxed on this one. Jon
