Interesting... I'd pay the extra for true OEM stuff considering fitment is OK...

i was debating the velocity and the exclusive csl rims but when i really look at it, nothing compares to the oem csl, and having the BBS logo on the back helps too |

I researched this before I bought my reps and the reps are the way to go without rubbing. Rear ZCP rims have an offset of 22 Rear reps that I have--offset of 30. From what I remember even people with e92s that used the et30 rear rims rubbed a little. The space is a little bigger for the e90s.

I think the offset in the rear for the competition package csl's are 27mm, not 22.

That's what I thought too... 27mm. The OEM CSLs have the 22mm offset right? Can't remember for sure. Regardless, I'll still have to use spacers up front which I don't really want to do... And I do like the gunmetal CSLs too although I prefer not to run replicas either.

the fronts would require the spacers, not the rear. Im not big on running spacer with the fronts.

I have RE spacers in the rear and I think its fine.I just dont want them on the front wheels because of all the weight thats on the front wheels as well as them being on the turning wheels.Too much going on for me to feel safe with them not cracking.

you can, it will just be very tucked in the front and a little too aggressive in the rear.It is doable. If you feel safe using the spacers in the front and dont track your car you should be okay. Lots of people do it, its just a matter of how safe you feel using them.

If spacers crack then you're F-d. I'd be surprised if you don't crash your car or if the wheels don't wobble so much that it snaps off the studs and the wheel flies off.
I nearly got spacers for my OEM 162 rears but ended up just staying stock and messing with tire pressures to get the handling I want. I do want to get a slightly wider track in the rear but keep the same track up front to counter a slight oversteer tendency...

Guys, I hate to burst your bubble, but there we can't offer a group buy on those wheels no matter how many parties are interested. We've set the price at $1,600(+shipping), which is the lowest on the market for OEM ZCP wheels. That is as absolutely low as we can go. Get your orders in!

i just had to bring this thread back up. maybe im stressing it way out of hand but there is just something about the oem zcp that got me hooked. also the genuine part is also something i can't get past its like an ocd thing for me. sad i know.
tischer sells new zcp rims for $1600 and shipping. used on m3forum.net and e46 fanatics is anywhere from 1300-1500 for close to new. and 1200-1300 for like a small rash with normal minor scratches. i have done research on using spacers on this forum along with others and the conclusion is if you can avoid it do it. a simple pot hole can explode the spacer and it requires it to be lubed up before installation. ive read two posts that the installer didn't lube/grease them up before install lol. the more i look at the comparison pics, etc the more im just falling for the zcp. there is the rac rg4 and rg41 but even used they are pretty expensive... shit guys zcp rim are so friggin sweet...DAMN driving me crazy |
