Tuning options in Sydney

Hi all,

Starting to get over my buyer's remorse over swapping into a 335i convertible (it's taken about 4 weeks of driving).

Anyway was toying with the idea of tweaking the car here and there and was wondering if anyone had any trusted bmw tuners in Sydney worth recommending to help guide my way.

Cheers

Not sure of many flash tuners in Sydney, several members have Proceed or JB3 piggybacks which work well, both are US based interceptor type tunes.

Proceed is very well supported in Sydney now with one of the main developers of it located in the Northern suburbs. Send a pm to adrian@vishnu and I'm sure he will be willing to help you.

Otherwise Andrew at Southern BM in Victoria also sells the proceed and is one of the more knowledgeable tuners of the N54 platform in Australia.

Cheers,

S

Definately contact Andrew @ Southern BM in Melbourne as he is the Aussie distributor for the Vishnu Procede piggy back tune. Hands down the best bang for your buck mod out there and will support any future mods.

Welcome by the way.

What did you have before?
What is it that you don't like about the 335?

I had a porsche boxster (manual). I still think it is much better visceral drive by the seat of your pants car...Utterly impractical of course which is in some perverse way another plus.

The 335i (M-sport with steptronic) doesn't have that road feel nor isn't quite as sure footed. There are corners that I can't conceive of trying at speed in the 335i which I've eaten up in my previous ride.

Of course there is also the fact that

(a) I've moved from manual to auto

(b) I haven't done the BMW driving course which may help working out the limits of the car (and my own)

(c) I need to get rid of those runflats

Anyway I've since realised since then that 335i is no slouch and I tend describe it now as a highspeed bubble of luxury.
