I have ordered my e93 msport debadged. With the 225m alloys it looks like an M, so let us everybody believe it is one!
Experts will know it is a 335 by the exhaust, not experts will not give a dam, and I think it looks more mysterious and balanced without the badge.

sounds like a materialistic thread.... i mean, whether you debadge or not i dont care, but if you dont want to debadge just to show off you're driving a 335 sounds pretty low to me.

to each their own

I like my car debadged...its a way to be modest...and if I would badge it...it would be a 316i badge to avoid the car thieves who like the big and the expensive...

everyone i know that doesn't de-badged their car thinks the car they saw debadged is a lesser model and the driver is embarrassed to show it more than just making the car look clean!!! in a lot o cases this is true and can make a car look nicer but i think all in all it is just stupid on a bmw!!! this isn't a g35 or some plastic crap!!! this is German precision engineering!!! removing the badge makes most people think you are kind of a loser in my experience...i mean a lot of you guys have stated you just wanna mess with people, keep them guessing!!!! pretty funny and lame but boys will be boys with their toys!!!!

I disagree - its an option from the factory. No different to putting different wheels on or choosing leather over leatherette.

I keep my badge on to remind the kids that this is the minimum GPA they have to have if they want a shot at driving it.

Too bad BMW did not name the three thirty five a four hundred…

So I am thinking you and everybody you know are also leaving the tags on expensive items just to let everyone know you are not losers! If I look up the meaning of 'Badgewhore' I will most likely see "Purplewidow & Friends".

i think the whole argument about being "modest" is not a good one

if you're going to debage 335i..then you might as well debadge the bmw roundels. you have a 335i...i doubt that many even know about the 335 as we talk about it, most girls/guys dont even know the difference between the 328/335 of the e92 and the 330-328 of the e90's. i didnt buy the 335i for the badge, it happens that bmw likes to let you know what car you are buying/driving.

what about the other people, the ones that slap on an M3 badge on their 330's and stuff, that is ridiculous.

this does not pertain only to bmws, Honda/Acura owners swap all the time, people slap on Type-R at will. its not a big deal, if you debadge, i guess you'll just be throwing a piece of your car away idono

You left out the reason a majority of the people take off the model badges. It looks cleaner! Take a look at the car at the top of this page and tell me it does not look better ( aesthetically ) than having the 335i badge.

I would debadge all models, //M models included. 335i is debadged. E36 328i was debadged also.

Nothing to do with what anyone else thinks or doesn't think either.

I would never rebadge the car to something it was not, either up or down, because... that goes back to it being more important what people think of you and what you drive than what you like or what you want.

Mine is de-badged. In my line of work I have to have it de-badged, otherwise it will get scratched like my 535 got lined 3 times in 6 months.

De-badge out of neccesity. Actually this an experiment. For all I know it still might get lined even after de-badging!!!!!!
