How to even out coupe rear LED footwell lights [visual guide]
The problem:
  The LED's fire to the side into a black casing which absorbes most of the light. The solution:  Adhesive mylar sheets, I found at an art store. Likely found at craft stores like Michael's too. Cut to size with scisors and bent to fit in the corners. (note: photographsed adhesive side up)   Much better.

nice. hated the way they look and too lazy to take apart and figure out why they looked so bad. gonna try it this weekend

Or you can simply use this type of LED, without putting any crap inside the housing. Moreover direct light source >> reflected light source (brightness-wise)

Your solution won't work, for 3 reasons: #1 - That's a T10 bulb, the rear footwell lights use T5 bulbs #2 - That's not an error free bulb, and they don't make error free T5 bulbs for our cars in that style. #3 - The T5 bulbs are mounted so the connector is vertical. So T5 bulbs like that would direct their light to the side into the housing and have the same problem, what's more if you added a reflector, they wouldn't be reflected towards the center but to the same spot so this style of bulb is the worst for being even. The mylar film I used isn't crap, but gives a very professional result. It's extremely sticky and is 99% reflective so wheter it's reflected or not doesn't matter from a brightness standpoint. It's a very properly done mod and looks very good and is sufficiently bright. It's also the only solution short of a custom bulb.
