ST Coilovers and corrosion?

Well, I have a connection at a custom car shop and can get ST V1 coilovers for me at a great price. My dilemma, I live in Indianapolis where we use salt on the street in the winter. Now my car is garage kept and only gets driven about 5k a year, I have a "company" car I drive daily. It does see a fair share of winter driving but much less than most of course. Do I need to worry about corrosion on the ST's? Would I have to use caution on when I drive it in the winter?

is hosing down the STs every time you drive it in the winter an option? either way, sounds like it would probably be worth your while to go ahead and get the KWs.

I would coat the threads on the coils with antiseize if I was in your position.

There are spray on rust inhibitors that we use that work great for these coilovers. Mine on my 330 still look brand new after a year.

I can get the ST's for about $850, just under my budget. Looks like the cheapest KW will almost double that...ugh.

Just spray this on them and they will never rust.
