2011 E90 328i Sedan
Hi, new to E90 Forums! I have a 9 month old 328i Sedan in Alpine White (AW) with sport and premium package, xenon's, and 6MT (favorite option).
I have taken it easy, only swapping the grilles for BMW performance black to match the gloss shadowline trim from the sports package. Here are things I am considering, your feedback would be greatly appreciated, I am able to budget so as long as no one thing goes into the thousands, I have an open mind. 1. Angel Eye bulb swap as mine are incandescent/yellow and don't cut through the xenon light at all. 2. Fog lamp bulb replacement for the same reason. 3. Trunk deck spoiler. Thinking of BMW performance but not sure of black CF on an all white car. Would love to find a white CF option. 4. Tint, I have browsed the forums intensively and there are multiple camps on this, 15% v 20% v 35% and Ceramic v Metallic. I track my cars so super dark is out and not sure metallic is a good idea either. 5. I am intrigued by Vinyl wrap for my interior trim. I don't know anyone that does it or has had it done. I wanted to order my car but my work insisted I get one quicker than the order would take so now I have dark burled walnut that seems to lack burls and I want either gloss black or fake CF if it is at a reasonable price. I can buy the piano trim kit from tisher for $550 so vinyl would have to be a lot cheaper. Ok, for cosmetics, that is about it. Thanks for reading and I appreciate any feedback! |

1. I recommend either the MTEC H8 or LUX H8 angel eye bulbs. I have seen both personally and I think they are the same in brightness but that is just my opinion.
2. If you want to match the bright white angel eyes I would recommend MTEC super white or GP Thunder 7500k. 3. Trunk deck spoiler I would recommend getting it painted with a fade maybe? 4. Get 35% ceramic or lighter for tracking your car. Metallic tends to mess with the radio signal if you use your radio frequently. 5. I am not familiar with vinyl brands but what I remember from wrapping trim with CF fabric is that you will need about 3 linear yards of materials. |
