I can't see any change on the tailight in terms of size, so, suppose you can replace the old version one by plug-and-play method, pls correct me if I am wrong coz I am very interested on this upgrade as well |

You are correct in terms of size, however I was talking about the wiring looms being different a different size as the plug on the LCI taillights is smaller than the current taillights

More on the project! Preview of the rims! Specs: 20" Breyton GTSR-M Hyper Silver Front: 20 x 8.5 Rear: 20 x 10 Tires: Front 245/35 Rear 285/30 Kumho Ecsta SPT (Just testing, this combination for now) Some comments, I was originally really keen on these rims although after I ordered them, I started getting a little nervous about the weight! Happy to report that in fact these rims are very light for 20", I dont know exactly how much they weigh but we compared directly with a e92 M3 19" rims which were getting the same tires fitted and the Breytons were definately lighter. I cannot however comment on the strength of the rims as the weight means that there maybe compromises on strength. (As you can tell by now I'm the nervous and stressed out type!) Anyways, have a look at the photos and let me know your thoughts! Last edited by saferisk; 03-20-2010 at 04:01 AM.. Reason: additional info! |

That's going to be a nice car! I don't know if I would have the stomach to put my car through so much. Good luck with the final results!

Can't wait to see the interior changes, IMO it's the least modded part of the car. I thank you for keeping this entire process very tasteful, most people would completely overdue the car with this much modding. You are keeping the BMW reputation intact. I was very sceptical of the 20" rims at first, but seeing them on, the fit the body and flared out fenders nicely. Are those V710's?

The wheels are Breyton GTSR-M, I'm pretty happy with the look cause I only went off a picture from the internet before I bought these. Btw, what are people's thoughts on leave the edge of the trunk as exposed carbon? I did this in order to for the rear to match the front CF lip but now think is it too tacky? |
