Neither would I nor is it my standard practice..

Only did it twice in 2 years, because I was looking for Shell or Ultra 94 . Don't remember if it displayed 00 before "--" But do recall getting another 2 km out of the fumes before pulling into Shell Gas station.

I'm assuming that was J/K.... otherwise why purchase/lease the car for which you can't afford the gas vs something more fuel efficient or runs on regular or diesel....

Just before the 50kms warning.....given it is a 61 litre tank I usually put in about 50-52. The light appears when you have 8L left in reserve. I would not make it a practice of going past this to avoid any issues with HPFP

There really is no asnwer for this HPFP . It happens randomly. Doesnt matter the type of gas, the amount of gas whern you fill up etc or the station from where you fill up at.

You could be right as I have yet to experience the pleasure of a HPFP failure. However as with any vehicle running it until empty often is not advised.
