One for the diesel boys. Caned it Sunday

13.1@106mph At Santa Pod.

Shame i only got runs in, and qued an hour between each. Lost my Mojo every time waiting so long, but even so happy enough with the result.

Mullered a Z4M, tuned 200sx, and a 3.0tdi A5 tuned to 290bhp (He did a very respectable 13.9@98mph) and also there were SEVERAL S5's the 4.2 V8 coupe.

None beat 13.4

SO HAPPY DAYS

Cheers bud.

1.9 was my 60ft.

Your car is fooking fast Baris. Just shows the mods do work. Most M3's i see do 13.5-14secs.

Your 13.2 is very good.

Just a DMS re-map mate. On my 4th or 5th due to loosing them.

No exhaust, no filter. Just a good driver.

People say its easy to launch a auto car, but it aint that easy, requires a bit of skill.

so approx 340-345bhp.

How do you loose the maps, car going into the dealers?

Do you have to go back to DMS HQ each time you get in remapped or do they come to you?

Hmmm, your gain over your last run appears to be in the launch? 1.9 secs? Bloody hell, did you have the slicks on, if so then this would make sense, must have been a nice following wind as well.

Great time and well done, won't be long before you dip under 13!!!

You can update your other 1/4 mile thread now.

Jules.

Hi Jules.

I was launching quite aggressively. The tires didnt really help. I was spinning like a bitch in 1st and 2nd. Was quite annoyed really. i have not even gained a whole tenth on the 60ft. Think like Mike said once, there more for lateral grip for track. Couldnt get any heat in the fuckers either. Qued up so long they were stone cold.

But gained 2 tenths at the quarter. Unfortunately there was no tail wind, But luckily no headwind either.

I think dedicated drag tires would be the next step. But i think id rathe buy a quicker car LOL.

Im just happy enough that the car is a rocket. Like ive always said a tuned 335d is.

Beating all manor of cars we have jules. A testiment to BMW producing such a fine car.

I think so mate,

i think had the day not been so busy and i could have got more runs in its quite possible,

In the past ive started the day off slower than what ive finished it. With 10 runs or so, I only managed 5 this time.

Carl, do a comparison of your previous best and find out where you made the gains. If it is pretty even across the whole run then it's probably that there was no headwind, if it's at the start then this would suggest more grip, or if it's at the mid-top end then you've gained some power.

Jules.

Nice work Carl, know it means a lot to you. Did you lower the rear tyre pressures or anything ? a 1.9 60` in an auto is very good.
