the $180 spoilers are the small ones.

mine is bigger. it was color matched with the c/f strip and cost $300 shipped to my door

haha nice - I was guessing around that and I definitely like the bigger one. Did the CF strip up the cost at all?

Thanks again guys! I see people offering up used blacklines quite often. If anyone has any smoked LED blacklines - send me a PM

The deck's subwoofer volume controls will work

I have emailed him and hope to get this setup soon. Did the harness actually bypass your stock amp/subs or allow you to pass-thru and add the additional sub?

Thats a good question lol. I'm pretty sure that The harness allows you to keep the stock subs too. I'll need to go and listen to it again and see if the stock subs are hitting.

Thanks for the reply Young

I was playing with the deck last night and I'm saddenned that I could only find Bass and Treble controls. There was an EQ of course, but nothing specifically labeled as subwoofer. Maybe I'm missing it?

I got a reply from Technic and he stated that the harness he's got allows the connection of an aftermarket amp to power a trunk sub and/or the stock subs. If it's and, I'm stoked, as i'd need that filler bass to prevent me from shaking my car apart, like my POS eclipse did.

...interested to hear what you find regarding the stock setup... would love for it to just end up being an addon to existing stuff.

Oh, and for those interested, here's a link the to harness that Technic sent me: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...4&postcount=51

hmmm it should be labeled "S-Vol" on your stock deck's audio settings. I'm curious - do you know if you have the Logic7 sound system? This is very vital because it will determine which harness technic will send you.

Does your deck give you the option for "Music" or "Cinema"? Also teh dealer will be able to tell you if you call them and give your VIN#.

Yeah, I have the S-Vol and all that, so I'm pretty sure it's the L7 deck. According to the user's manual, S-Vol is the amount of volume change based on speed/RPM to adjust for road noise. I originally thought S-Vol was for the sub as well, but what the manual states appears to be accurate as when I set this lower, the volume gains at higher speeds definitely are lower. Is your experience with S-Vol different?

Glad I could help ya out!

Just got my baby back from the dealer for the 30k checkup! (I feel whole again!) Brake system flush, filter changes, ECU Recall, free car wash, and a few other things I'm sure - right before the warranty expires in April. Gotta love that Free Maintenance warranty!

Anyone have the CPO on theirs and used it? This one has it until 4/13 and I'm concerned about mods. My guess would be to pull off anything you can (bolt on performance-wise) before taking it in for maintenance?

i just found out last week that my car is CPO - i have until April 2013 or 100K miles. i have 36K right now.

that being said, i'm completely done midding my car as far as performance.: JB4, DCI and ETS FMIC

stock DP's, stock midpipes, stock mufflers/resonators, etc

it's easy to pull the JB4 and DCI's and take the car into the dealer if anything should happen. they won't know about the IC at all - and if they do, i'll just say "hell, the car came that way".

I don't want to get into any tuner wars, but I'd read up before getting the Jb4. My advice is to research. Personal opinion is to stay away from Jb4...

yea i've been following that thread too, and i'll admit it has some good points. in the end its all on your personal preference. IMO if you're not going too extreme (meth, dps, 15+PSI boost) then you'll probably be ok but again thats an OPINION.

Right now i'm pushing the JB3 with DCI on Map5 and the car runs fine but once I get my boltons installed (DPs and FMIC) I will definitely be looking at a dyno tune.

If you're looking for a good dyno tune in houston check out Secret Services Auto. I know the owner and I can honestly say they do some super quality work. they have tuned a few 335s in houston i'm sure you can find them if you just do a little

Thanks for the link Michael, quite an interesting post. I was on the fence with JB/Cobb and I think I have a better idea of which direction I will go in the future.

Litos - what kind of times do you put down on the track?

My buddy had the first 335 tuned with Secret Services back when they first started doing the 335's. It was a good tune and comparable to my procede and my mods at the time. While there's no doubt that the jb3/4 works, knock is knock. I think the analogy of the smoker works in this scenario...just cuz you haven't died yet from smoking doesn't mean it's not bad...

And it doesn't hurt that Cobb is local...if you need help with anything feel free to ask, you're like 5 min from my house. I'm full bolt on minus catback and meth w/ procede.
