Question To polish or not to polish

Hello all. I've been reading the forums for a while and just a question. This is my first time using polish. So I bought some Menzera IP to get rid of the swirls on my car followed by ZPC and Z5. I bought an PC for the IP and ZPC. In order to help pay for my purchases, I detailing some coworker's cars. Here's my question, if their car has little marring, should I just use IP anyways? or would I be safer just using the ZPC? Basically, will I screw up their car by using IP? Thanks for your responses!

General rule of thumb, start with the least abrasive product/pads and work your way up. I can't really give you solid advice without seeing pictures first thought. "Little marring" can be different things.

You won't screw anything up, but it's always best to start with the lightest possible combo then move up from there. Using a more aggressive pad/polish will just result in more paint lost and more work, when you need to clean up the haze it leaves behind. So if ZPC removes the swirls, use it.

ok cool, thanks. So if I wanted to be a little bit more aggressive, could I use the orange lc pad with ZPC?
