Too many black X5s about, nearly all of them seem to be black. Silver would be my choice and thats from someone with a Lemans Blue x5, its a big old thing to keep thing if you are fussy so low maintenance silver is good. I had a space Grey X3 and it wasn't as easy to look after as you would think.

Then again I have had a sapphire black X5 and they are a PITA to keep clean. Then again the topaz blue X5s I had were a PITA to keep clean too. This was because they're just so big - I used to have to open the doors and step on the sills while hanging onto the roof rails to wash the roof. Despite all this, I'd still go for Carbon Black. Yum yum. |

Space Grey is a piece of piss to keep clean.
Carbon black will show the slightest bit of crap and swirl marks. I agree a newly detailed carbon black X5 would look the best though.

Reason I say space grey is not that easy to look after is because it shows a surprising amount of swirl marks, silver just seems to mask them all. Also silver is nice and bright and looks great in low light, space grey never seems to have much shine. If I was choosing a new X5 it would be between silver and space grey, probably silver would win for the reasons mentioned above and also because there does not seem to be many silver ones about.

Black....
...my old Merc GL was black, I had to get a stepladder out to clean the roof properly. Even standing on the side steps you could reach all the roof, and I am 6ft 2". The X5 will probably be no easier to keep clean. |

SILVER
Yes, I know that looks like Space Gray in colour but you wouldn't have been able to read proper silver
