BMW Warranty price increase

Just call me lucky!
I went on to bmw-warranty.co.uk to get my quote after receiving my letter to say that my AUC warranty was about to end. The prices matched those in the letter. I decided to sleep on in it to decide what excess to go for, etc. This morning I went on to pull the trigger on comprehensive with £100 excess and it's gone up
I 'phoned them up and they confirmed that there had been an increase overnight (or were they just bullsh***ing me?). Oh well, it's only an extra £1 a month.

I'm sure many don't know this but the price nearly doubles once the car's mileage goes over 60k, big decision for me next month!

What I found confusing was if you pay monthly at 59k mileage it doesn't go up cause they never contact you for a new reading? Well that's what the bloke on the Phone said

If they never contact you for a new reading, that principle should be valid for any mileage pre 60k

Yeah, I don't quite understand the principle from a business point of view.
I asked for pro vs cons monthly vs annual and pro was what i said above but con was its not transferable. It was a no brainer for me.
They said it could go up due to price increases though but not mileage.

I need to take out an extended warranty in a couple of months so that's made my mind up for monthly payments instead of annual

Important to make sure you switch to monthly before you hit 60k miles.

Exactly what I did. When you think about all the possible problems you could encounter, the extended warranty and bmw assist is a no brainer at the sub 60k cost.
