I have a coding problem and I cannot seem to find the answer (I have been searching).

I got the INPA to work and have been able to reset adaptions and clear codes etc. I need to replace my #1 injector but when I follow the directions I cannot find the Injecktor - Codierung?

I can find the "Systemdiagnossen" menu but within that I do not see
EOL-Injektor....

I think it is INPA version 5.0.4?? not sure.

What am I missing or what do I need to make this happen.

thank you in advance for your support.

sorry if this is off topic but do you think with this software you can program the keyfob? I got mine stolen and I'm wondering if I buy a new one, if I can reprogram it for my car using this software.

Any help would be appreciated. The dealer is charging an arm and a leg.

Nope, I spent several weeks trying to do this with different gadgets and it's not possible. There is some very expensive software out there that claims they can do it but the $200 the dealer is asking is nothing compared to their 10K price tag.

If you buy a brand new one, then the car will program the keyfob on its own. Just insert the keyfob into the receptacle and hold it there for 20 seconds. Key will be programmed automatically. Again, this works ONLY for a brand new keyfob that has not been programmed to another car before.

From what I've read (and trying with a brand new blank transponder chip in a key, inserting and waiting for a while), that is not correct.
The factory has to program the car code in the key so that the car would trust the key and add it to it's list of accepted keys (which is the auto programming part people talk about).
If what you suggest actually worked then I could break a window, put a blank key and drive off.
Also that is the reason why the keys come from the factory in NJ and the dealers don't have them in stock.

Off topic, but no, you would need 1 keyfob original (already programmed to the car) present. So you need the car, 1 original keyfob and 1 new keyfob to program. Look, we can argue all day here, but the fact is all car makers have autoprogramming of some sort built into their cars.

Tried that too, kept the other fob in, tried starting and not starting the car, still no joy. The older models (e36 with the diamond keys) apparently had that but not the new ones.
Higher end cars don't seem to have autoprogramming anymore (it seems people tend to steal them more often
There used to be a way to dump the CAS EEPROM and reverse engineer the car code from the image and write it to the key but BMW "fixed" that with CAS2 or 3 and you can't get that anymore. Then some hackers found a way to write the new key code straight in the CAS EEPROM so the car won't have to learn it but then BMW released a software update in late 2011 where you can no-longer write the EEPROM via the OBDII port so now you have to use the ICOM interface to even get close to that (but most older cars don't have their CAS modules updated yet).
There is some guy from Burgas that made a device that can do all this somehow and there is a video on youtube but he's asking 10K for it.

I noticed that the INPA is not the latest version as you described. It seems like there is a later version 5.03, which seems to display the E92. I'm wondering if this version would also work. You mentioned in your pdf instruction to not use any other versions.

May I ask why we shouldn't use an updated newer version? I'm wondering if the new version also shows MSD81 in the menus as well.

Just curious... I'll do some more digging tonight.

At the time of this writing, the version that I have was the latest. I'd have to experiment and see if I can get the latest one to work properly. You should be able to do the same things with MSD81 though.

Had issues with WIN 7 starter edition as I would keep getting errors on INPA start up and no connection.

Installed WIN7 ultimate edition and did DIY over. It connects and I can choose MSD80 N54 engine. But when I go and press SHIFT F4 to choose injectors, I get error#100 sys-0010: initialization error.

On map 0 and all gauge hijacking off on JB4.

Any ideas?? I'm getting closer and closer lol....

Try downloading the windows Xp virtual machine, its free from microsoft for Win7 Ult users. In the virtual machine do the install, ive heard this works for some people as long as you are running on a 32bit OS.

I was able to code my injectors but for some reason it wouldnt take the exact values i was entering... for example, if the second number 236 it would only take 2.35 or 2.37... is that a rounding issue or a Daten File issue? Has anyone seen this before?

Correct. The ECU will do its own internal calculations and it will round up or down the value you enter when you are coding the injectors.
